Hello, So, this is the modification I made to czacen's great WC4 mod for Homeworld 2. I made it a month ago, and since I'm away from home, I could only test this file on a relative's computer, which has a widescreen and is rather old. So, during the last tests, I had these results : -The custom UI (unit's icons on the build menu) from the original mod were no longer here, but since he said on the forums it worked only with some screen resolutions I obviously do not have here, they may still be here. -The whole torpedo-intercepting thing seems to work well (but not on a "one shot-one hit" basis, of couse : the bombers still have some use), and fighters are offering a excellent torpedo cover compared to capship weaponry (rate of fire and mobility). -The graphics I had were rather poor compared to the games I had at home, but, again, it's probably due to the computer I'm using as of now. So, if one member of the staff could test the mod before making it public and confirm everything is fine (UI icons and overall graphics), it would make me feel better, because I really don't want to launch a dude (instructions on how to launch the game at the end of the text). Anyway, to test it, get a carrier and a few Longbows to the enemy _carrier_ (not its starbase, because it doesn't have turrets to shoot down incoming torpedoes). If the enemy carrier tries and shoot down one or more torpedoes (or if its fighter get the job done), it will be a success. Likewise, enemy fighters shouldn't be firing at your own carrier, since I tweaked all fighter-based guns to get a zero precision on capships (destroyers, battlecruisers and carriers) in order to make both capships and bombers prevalent against capships. All in all, thank you for this opportunity ! Merci beaucoup, L.I.F. P.S. : If the file pass your tests, I'll post ASAP a description of this editing on the forums. With HW2 installed, move the WC4S_target_acquired.rar file to the data directory in your Homeworld 2 forum. Then, right-click on your shortcut to this game, and go on to "Properties". In the "target" field, add at the end the following : -mod WC4S_target_acquired.rar It should look, depending of your installation path, like : "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe" -mod WC4S_target_acquired.rar Then, confirm the changes, and launch the game.
